I know *exactly* how you feel.

Since my diagnoses in 2014 and 2017, it’s been a roller coaster ride to figuring out what’s best for me.

I tried:
  • Keto & low-carb 
  • Intermittent fasting
  • Calorie restriction 
  • ​Working out a ton
  • ​(Literally) HUNDREDS of supplements 
They all seemed to help for a short time, and I thought I was on the right track with each of them.

But when I think about it: The times I had the most success were the times I focused not on what I couldn’t eat/do/have but rather on having fun, releasing stress from my body and enjoying my life. 

This is 100% the reason I was able to conceive my son naturally back in September 2018. 

You see, all theses diets, programs, meds & supplement regimes have one thing in common:

❌ They DON’T allow the body to feel SAFE. ❌

And as I’ve come to learn (& am so excited to share with you here)- when the body is in a DANGER state- healing absolutely cannot occur.

Let me give you an example:

You decide to try intermittent fasting, which you hope will help with your cycles/fertility/weight/blood sugar/energy/mood...you name it.

You feel really freaking good at first.

Things go downhill when cravings start overtaking your thoughts, you constantly get asked why you can’t eat x/y/z, leaving you feeling like kind of a weirdo, and the diet becomes harder and harder to stick with.

So you let it go, something similar comes along (like carb cutting) and you start again. Same process of early results and long term failure.

When you restrict the amount or types of foods you eat, this often results in:

  • Low blood sugar
  • Insulin resistance
  • Weight gain
  • ​Irregularity, pain or heaviness in your menstruated cycles and periods
  • ​Feeling so incredibly tired no matter how much you sleep
  • ​Feeling cold all the time
  • ​Losing your hair, breaking out in acne or growing a moustache

Even though your labs may come back "normal". 🙄🙄

Why does this happen?

This happens because the restriction has caused an increase in production of stress hormones like cortisol and adrenaline.

This is known as the “fight, flight or flee” response aka the stress response.

At this point- your body’s only concern is saving your life - it doesn’t know the difference between your life literally being threatened by an attacking lion or just simply not nourishing your body in the way it’s been crying out for.
So certain functions like digestion and reproduction (aka your menstrual cycle) get shut down.

Your body doesn’t care about digesting food or making babies (even if you don’t want babies- this is how the body works) - it just wants to keep you alive!

Progesterone then isn't made at all or enough, thyroid function decreases (yes - even with "normal" labs), and blood sugar becomes harder to control. 


Leaving you feeling:
  • Tired and wired
  • Scared of the night because you can hardly sleep (or tired even after sleeping through the night)
  • Anxious or depressed
  • ​With a brain that doesn’t seem to ever shut off, and the “thought storms” love to come at night
  • ​Excessively hungry no matter how much you eat or hardly having an appetite at all (You don’t eat breakfast cuz you just don’t feel hungry in the morning)
  • ​Out of control
  • ​Ashamed of your body and your lack of progress 

You feel like you’ll never feel better or you’ll never reach your goals - whatever those might be.

Whether you’re trying to:
  • Get pregnant
  • ​Fix your cycles and horrible periods
  • Be in a weight you’re comfortable in (not one your doc or your BMI tells you is “healthy”)

Note that last one: HEAL.

You cannot heal when chronically in the stress response. It simply can’t happen.

It doesn’t matter whether you consider yourself “stressed out” or not.

You’re in fight or flight.

That stress response is what’s running your body.

But Robyn, how do I know if my body is in the stress response?

Let's break it down.

Your body is in the fight or flight stress response if you experience many signs of stress.

PHYSICAL STRESS

  • Issues/conditions like PCOS, endometriosis, amenorrhea, infertility, hypothyroidism, amenorrhea, fibroids and more
  • Irregular or absent menstrual cycles
  • Lack of ovulation
  • ​Trouble conceiving
  • ​History of miscarriage 
  • ​Weight gain that nothing seems to help

What if I’m on medications/undergoing treatments from a doctor?

How long will it take me to complete the course?

That is totally up to you. This is a totally self-paced course. You cannot be “behind” here. 

I made it self-paced because I know that in some dated/group program formats, keeping up can create anxiety/worry, which is the opposite of cultivating safety. 

Given that there's 5 modules (& 1 bonus module), if you did 1 module per week that would be a 6 week timeline.

How restrictive is the food? Do I need to count/weight/measure my food or eliminate food groups (like carbs)?

NO. This plan is the opposite of restriction. 

I want you to eat what makes your body feel good. 

And if that’s a decadent hot chocolate, awesome! If you feel like salad, that’s great too!

You’ll be diving into listening to your body and using cravings as a direction to what you need more of, not what you need to resist. 

All food groups and macro nutrients (protein, fat, carbs) are welcome here. 

I’ll even be suggesting you eat sugar! (Yup). 

Will I lose weight?

Let me be clear: This is not a weight loss program. 

In order to sustainably reduce weight (without crash dieting, pills, etc) the body needs to feel safe for a long time. 

That length of time varies from woman to woman depending on: history of dieting/disordered/restrictive eating, how quickly you implement changes and what state your body is currently in. 

Weight comes off slowly once the body feels ready, and it becomes 100000x more sustainable than any restrictive diet out there. 

If weight loss is your primary goal, and you want it to happen fast , this program is not for you. 

What’s the refund policy?
